The fall of man in Genesis 3

on May 3, 2012

God gave Adam and Eve everything they could have ever wanted. He gave them authority over the land and animals. They could eat anything they wanted but not from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Just like today’s society nobody is ever happy with what they have and that gives the devil the motive to strike. There was a serpent in the garden of eden that couldn’t stand that God made Adam and Eve in his image. The devil transformed into a serpent who did not crawl on his belly at this point but actually had legs. He knew that Eve would be the easiest to tempt and still to this day women are much easier to tempt than man. He went to Eve and said ” Yea hath God said, Ye shall not eat of ever tree of the garden?” That is the way he started off the conversation so he could lure her into it. Eve answered “We may eat of the  fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. The serpent said ” Ye shall not die: For God doth know that in the day ya eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. We all know that she took of the fruit and ate it. She took some to her husband who ate as well and their eyes were opened. They realized that they were naked and hide behind the bushes. God called unto Adam and said unto him “Where art thou?” We all know that God already knew where he was. Adam said ” I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. And God said ” Who told thee that tho wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that tho shouldest not eat? Adam said ” The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave it to me, she gave me of the tree and I did eat. And the Lord God said unto Eve “What is this that tho hast done?” And Eve said “The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.
Man couldn’t be happy with what he was given so the fruit from the forbidden tree was taken to eat. Just like Adam and Eve wasn’t happy with what they had in the garden so are the people in the world of today. Some say that women are the reason Adam fell. I don’t believe that is true. Women are just the easiest and weakest target to go after. Some women like to play like they are equal as the guys but I think Eve showed that to be wrong. We can take from this part of the story that Adam and Eve disobeyed the Lord God almighty. They couldn’t just stick with one simple request. They wanted to rank up there with God or higher. They wanted to be gods. That was not what God wanted them to be but they couldn’t listen to that. Then to go on into the story the serpent went after the weakest link. I hate to say it but yes women are weaker than man are. That is the way God made us and we need to stop trying to prove differently. He went after Eve because he knew he could make her fall along with Adam. Then instead of taking responsibility she blames Satan. I know that Satan can make people do some horrible things but we also have the power to make him go away. We have that power through God. We can call out of him and he will protect us. I’m sure that Adam and Eve could have called on God to banish the serpent. Instead they gave into his lure and got banned. They disappointed the one person you never wanted to in your entire life. His disappointment is far more saddening than that of your parents. We need to learn to be happy with what we have and stop putting the blame on other people when we do wrong. We need to face up to our mistakes and beg for forgiveness not play the blame game. It is not a sign of weakness to beg for forgiveness but it does show weakness to blame others. There are always consequences for your actions. Adam, Eve and the serpent all had the wrath of God come down on them. God said unto the serpent ” Because tho hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt tho eat all the days of thy life: And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”  Unto the woman God said “I will greatly multiply thy sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and they desire shall be to thy husband. and he shall rule over thee. And to Adam he said “Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of they wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying thou shalt not eat of it, cursed is the ground for thy sake, in sorrow shalt tho eat of it all the days of thy life; thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat of the herb of the field; in the sweat of thy face shalt tho eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. The serpent was made to forever crawl on his belly and eat dust. Women were made to have to go through labor with pain. Instead of it being easy like it was meant to be it became very difficult and painful. But women would want more children and would be in submission to their husband. That is right ladies men are over you. Get over it. If you don’t like it take it up with Eve. God made man to rule over women. We are to be submissive. We are not meant to make them submit to us.  We are to submit to them. I know to all those feminist out there this will make mad but you aren’t doing what God commanded you to do. He also made it to where man would have to work for his food and a living. Man would work the land that they would soon be buried in after they died. There is always a consequence for every single action. I think people need to reread Genesis chapter 3 and maybe learn how to act and be grateful. The end. =-)
